The Tahquamenon River basin in Michigan's Upper Peninsula receives epic amounts of lake effect snowfall each winter. Tahquamenon's frozen waterfalls together with generous snowfall create an superb venue for snowshoe racing.

Course Descriptions

All events start at the Upper Tahquamenon Falls. The course is a 5K groomed trail through forested sections of towering old growth white pines, cedar and maple-beech hardwoods. The 10K course consists of two loops of the 5K course.

Refund & Transfer Policy

No refunds. This means that once you have registered your entry fee will not be refunded for any reason by Great Lakes Endurance. Active.com offers entry fee insurance.
No participant transfers. This means you may not transfer entry to anyone else.
No year to year transfers. This means that you cannot transfer your paid entry to any future events.
Event transfers. You may transfer from the 10K to the 5K until February 15, 2019. Email the race director (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to request an event change. There are no refunds for entry fee differences between events.
Please note: Personal checks will no longer be accepted by Great Lakes Endurance.

Packet Pick Up & Race Day Registration

Early registration is encouraged to help with planning. However, participants may still register Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Upper Falls.  Pre-registered participants pick up their race materials at this time..

Awards

Awards will be given to the top three in each age group for each race. Overall male and female winners in the 10K will receive an Artist/Farmer Gift Package. Overall winners of the 5K will receive a GLE Gear Gift Package. Age group awards for each race include Equal Exchange Organic Chocolate.
